Times of India Film Awards

On April 6, 2013 the stars of Bollywood descended upon Vancouver for the inaugural “Times of India Film Awards” seen by hundreds of millions of people in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and Vancouver was centre stage. RIGGIT was contracted to provide all rigging design, engineering, equipment and personnel to support this massive project at BC Place Stadium. Working with the production designer to develop the infrastructure supporting this large-scale production, RIGGIT spent several months looking at ways to best utilize BC Place in order to support over 200,000 pounds of equipment rigged to the new stadium roof. RIGGIT worked closely with the venue’s structural Engineer to meet the roof weight capacity and develop a creative rigging plan to support equipment that was suspended under the retractable roof section which has no rigging attachments. RIGGIT was proud to work alongside a talented group of local and international technical personnel to make this event possible.
